DIVINE VISITATION – The Giving Command – Luke 6:38, 2 Cor. 9:6-11

divine-visitation

There is no truly dedicated person that does not find joy in giving material and monetary offerings. If he has given his life, his material possessions have no more value in his sight.

On September 12, 1976, I made my life a seed: I did it personally, deliberately and consciously! So, I can’t but be fruitful, because I am not just giving seeds, I'm a seed! I was not yet called into ministry then, but I knew that all my life will be lived pleasing Him and promoting His Kingdom.

The Giving Command – The above narration, is a personal testimony of God’s servant, Bishop David O. Oyedepo. It is indeed, a true and an exemplified attitude of a committed and a giving-as-a-lifestyle giver. Thank GOD, there is an ever-increasing number of  such givers, today.

Such givers, are principally self-less in their commitment of the material resources, available at their disposal, to the kingdom of GOD and its well-being. If you are reading this, and you are not yet in that Army of Givers, and you are desirous of it (Proverbs 18:1), as you read further, the same order of the grace of GOD that is sufficient for every good thing (2 Cor. 12:9, James 1:17, Acts 10:34-35), will be made manifest afresh to you also, in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Bible, in Luke 6:38, makes giving not only a command, it also at the same time, lays down the acceptable order in the seedtime-and-harvesttime cycle, as it works in the kingdom of GOD.

Here, it is written:

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

For the Bible-kind of blessings to follow you through giving, you have to first make the first move with your giving, according to the above scripture.

God’s servant, Kenneth Copeland, puts it this way, with Luke 6:38 in focus:

Remember that whatever you've been casting out there is always what you find on down the road. If you've been giving doubt, unbelief and fear, that's what has been coming to you. If you've been giving nothing, then nothing is what you get.

You're holding the seeds of your own future in your hand right now. Step out in faith and use them to put the supernatural cycle of blessing in motion. Start now planting one good seed after another. Eventually you'll enjoy a good harvest every single day!

There are many opportunities available to you as a born again believer, to take that first step into the giving grace (that is, for a first timer giver) and or to take the next step in the giving grace (that is, for a practicing giver). Ask the Lord, in prayer, to guide you.

One of these many available opportunities, to giving of your material and monetary resources, begins with an enlistment in The Red Cross Squad of the Operation Possess the Land Prophetic Agenda. If you are reading this, and you have never heard of The Red Cross Squad, you better do.

Today, as you decide to take and put to work the Word of GOD that commands you to give (Luke 6:38), let the wisdom of GOD, also found in 2 Corinthians 9:6-11 guide you, continually:

6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:
9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.
10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)
11 Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.

Pray this prayer today:

Father, in the name of Jesus, enlist me among your army of Self-less and Tire-less Givers as I engage in your kingdom today – Matthew 7:7-11

Matthew 7:7-11:
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?

The above materials were put together by a son of the prophet, with excerpts and inspirations from the book, UNDERSTANDING FINANCIAL PROSPERITY – BY DAVID OYEDEPO, excerpts from the teaching topic, A SUPERNATURAL CYCLE OF BLESSING - Kenneth Copeland, and the June 17, 2016 edition of the Covenant Hour of Prayers (CHOP), telecast-ed LIVE from Canaanland, Ota, Nigeria.
