Exceeding Grace Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ.
I have no doubt that the harvest of testimonies from the recently concluded annual prayer and fasting of the church is still on and this shall continue throughout the year in Jesus’ name.
We discover from scriptures that every great story in the kingdom is traceable to some spiritual gifts at work in men – 2Cor. 4:7 / Jh. 3:27 / 1Cor. 15:10.
It is the spiritual gifts at work in us that makes room for us in life – Prov. 18:16.
But what are spiritual gifts? These include:
· The NINE (9) GIFTS of the Holy Spirit – 1Cor. 12:7-10
· The SEVEN (7) SPIRITS of God that was upon Christ – Isa. 11:1-3 / Jh. 14:12
· Proven spiritual gifts that we partake of from anointed vessels or places – Rom. 1:11 / 2Tim. 1:6-7 / 1Tim. 4:14 / Deut. 34:9 / 1Sam. 10:9-12 / 2Cor. 8:1-5/7
Some other special ministries of the Holy Spirit include:
§ The Anointing which empowers us for supernatural breakthroughs – Isa. 61:1-7 / Isa. 45:1-13
§ The Spirit of Faith empowers us for conquest – Heb. 11:1-33 / Eph. 6:16 / 2Cor. 4:13 / 1Cor. 12:9
§ The Spirit of Visions and Revelations empower us for inexplanable triumph - Jh. 16:12-14 / Joel 2:1-11/28-31 / Prov. 29:18 / Isa. 48:21.
§ The Spirit of Love empowers us for pace-setting exploits - 1Cor. 2:9 / Psa. 112:1-3 / 1Sam. 16:21-22 / 1Sam. 13:14 / 1Kgs 3:3-13/4:29-34/10:4-9
§ The Spirit of Holiness empowers our access to divine secrets – Psa. 25:14 / Job 1:1-3 / 29:4
§ The Spirit of Might empowers us for health and vitality – Jh. 4:31-34 / Jugd. 16-18
§ The Spirit of a Sound Mind empowers us for enthronement – 2Tim. 1:6-7/Prov. 8:15-16/Dan. 5:11
….And many more.
Remember, Christ once said, “…he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do;…” (Jh. 14:12).
However, to do what Christ did:
§ We must possess what He possessed – Acts 4:13
§ Christ possessed the Holy Spirit without measures – John 3:34
§ Christ possessed the 7 Spirits of God – Rev. 3:1 / Rev. 5:6
§ The 7 Spirits of God will make saviours out of believers – Obad. 21
We can therefore conclude that spiritual gifts constitute the treasures in our earthen vessels which define our ultimate fulfillment in destiny – 2Cor. 4:7 / Prov. 18:16.
And just as the body without the spirit is dead, a believer without some spiritual gifts at work in him, is sure to be frustrated and grounded – James 2:26 / John 6:63.
This is because it is spiritual gifts that empower God’s plans and purpose for our lives to be established. And this is why we are called to covet the best of spiritual gifts – Rom. 1:11 / 1Cor. 12:31.
Therefore, the prophetic focus for the month of February 2014 is:
‘COVET EARNESTLY THE BEST GIFTS’ – 1Cor. 12:31.
Recommended books of the month authored by Bishop David O. Oyedepo include:
*Anointing for Breakthrough
*Understanding the Anointing
*Anointing for Exploits
*Release of Power
Remain ever blessed.
