THE PROPHETIC FOCUS FOR DECEMBER 2014 - Bishop David O. Oyedepo

Exceeding Grace greetings to you in Jesus’ name.

There is no doubt that every Winner has been thoroughly washed in the blood of Jesus, delivered by His word and sanctified by His Spirit all through the month of November. My prayer is that, godliness becomes the lifestyle of everyone of us.

Remember, godliness is not an expression but a lifestyle, as it is written: “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled” – Matt 5:6

It is also worthy of note that sicknesses and diseases are among the many consequences of sin. From the ministry of Christ, we discover a vital link between sin and sickness.

To the paralytic man that was brought down through the roof, Jesus said, Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee. Matt 9:2 To the man at the Pool of Bethesda that was made whole, Christ said to him, “Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee.” Jn 5:14.

Apostle James also said, concerning praying for the sick, said if has committed sin, it shall be forgiven him. He went on to say, confess your faults to one another, that ye may be healed (Jam 5:16)

Furthermore, a more graphic picture of this link is painted in the book of Jeremiah chapter 30 verses 12 to 17. Here he mentioned incurable sicknesses and diseases that have no healing medicine which came upon the people,“for the multitude of thine iniquity; because thy sins were increased”(vs 14-15) God rose to their rescue, forgave them their sins with a vow, saying:
“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.” – Jer 30:17

It should however be noted that not every sickness is a result of sin. Some are pure oppressions of the devil. You will recall that when Christ was asked concerning the man that was born blind; who did sin, the man or his parents? Christ responded, ‘Neither’; implying that, that man’s affliction was not a result of sin.- Jn 9:2

Remember, also that Christ went about doing good and healing all them that were oppressed of the devil. Act 10:38

The good news is that, with our sins forgiven, the consequences of sin must go, which includes every kind of sickness and disease. As it is written, “In righteousness shalt thou be established: thou shalt be far from oppression; for thou shalt not fear: and from terror; for it shall not come near thee”. Is 54:14

This implies that righteousness delivers from all oppressions of the devil.

In the light of all the above, every sickness and disease, whether as a result of sin or oppression of the wicked one, an end has finally come to every of your ordeal with sickness and disease this month. God is crowning your year with full restoration of health as a demonstration of His goodness. Everyone’s deliverance and full restoration of health is guaranteed at Shiloh 2014. There shall be no carry-over of any plague into the year 2015.

Therefore, the prophetic focus for December 2014 is:
