UNVEILING THE WONDERS of Thanksgiving!

This month we shall be exploring the mystery of faith which is what empowers the saints for dominion. According to scriptures, faith is the mystery that confers mastery. As it is written: "If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth" (Mark 9:23).

Among others, faith empowers us for conquest in all the battles of life (Ephesians 6:16). Faith also empowers the fulfilment of prophecy. As it is written: "Blessed is she that believed:for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord" (Luke 1:45).

Therefore, faith is not a religious principle or a philosophy; faith is a mystery. Faith is not a belief system; it is a spiritual weapon and when our faith comes alive on any revelation of scriptures, we tap into virtues that turn it into testimonies (Ephesians 6:16).

In this edition of signs and wonders, we shall be exploring, the mystery of faith that empowers us access to the Wonders of Thanksgiving.

First, we must understand that thanksgiving is loaded with virtues. However, it is our faith that empowers us access to the wonders embedded in thanksgiving.

But, what is Faith?
• Faith is not a principle, nor a strategy, it is a spiritual force (1Cor 2:4-5)
• Faith is not a dormant force, it is a dominant force
- Matt 14:22-33/2Kg 1:10-15
• Faith is being fully persuaded of the truth, the prevailing circumstances notwithstanding, until the truth triumphs (Rm 4:17-21)
• Faith is a spiritual force within that determines the triumphs

10/Matt14:30-31/Mk11:23
• As far as the Kingdom of God is concerned, faith is key to everything-Mk. 9:23.

Faith overturns sicknesses and diseases from the root. Faith can bring down any "wall of Jericho" that stands as a barrier on our paths (Mark 1:1-12/Hebrews 11:30).

The mystery of faith raises the dead (Mark 5:35:36). This implies that faith is the most potent force in the whole universe. It is our access to the realms of unlimited possibilities (Mark 11:23). Every unwanted situation is reversible by faith. Faith is the answer to every impossible situation.
How Faith Empowers our Access to the Wonders Embedded in Thanksgiving.

From the testimony of the woman with the issue of blood who touched the hem of Jesus' garment and the flow of blood stopped; according to Christ, her touch of faith drew virtue from Him which made her whole. This implies that every time our faith comes alive in any subject of the living Word of God, we tap into virtue that releases what that Word says. (Luke 8:40-48)

What faith does is to convert the Word into power, which turns it into testimonies. Even though thanksgiving is loaded with virtues, it is our faith in the mystery of thanksgiving that entitles us access to the wonders therein. We must therefore engage our faith in the mystery of thanksgiving, so that we can experience the wonders it promises. We must remember, it is to us according to our faith (Matthew 9:29).

What are the wonders in Thanksgiving?

The following are some of the wonders embedded in thanksgiving:

- Preservation of our Blessings:
Thanksgiving is the mystery behind the preservation of the blessings of God in our lives. Therefore, if we want our blessings preserved, we must be addicted to thanksgiving. We must thank God in faith, not casually or religiously but from the depth of our hearts, so that our blessings will not be turned to curses (Malachi 2:1-3; Jeremiah13:15).

- Fresh Unction:
Thanksgiving is also a covenant gateway to fresh oil. The more thankful we are, the fresher the oil on our head. When the oil on our head is fresh, we are empowered to live an over-comer's life, because the fresher the oil, the greater our command in the day of battle (Psalms 92:1-2, 10-11/2 Chronicles 22:7).
On the other hand, with fresh oil we gain greater depth into the truth which empowers us to be more than conquerors in the battles of life (1John 2:27; Psalms 45:3-5).

- Supernatural Restoration:
Thanksgiving will restore anything, any day and at anytime, because it carries restoration virtue within it (Habakkuk 3:17-19).

- Perfection of our Blessings:
We cannot enjoy perfection by grumbling and complaining; perfection comes by the mystery of thanksgiving. Through the mystery of thanksgiving, whatever may have been damaged in any one's life experiences perfection because perfection answers to heart-rooted thanksgiving, as it was in the case of the one leper that returned (Luke 17:17-19).

- Supernatural Strength:
We also understand that everyone that comes into His presence goes from strength to strength. Therefore, thanksgiving is our visa into His presence, which makes us go from strength to strength. We are required to enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise (Psalms 84:7; Psalms 100:4).

- Supernatural Fruitfulness:
Thanksgiving rejuvenates our system for supernatural fruitfulness. We cannot be joyful and not be 'praiseful' and we cannot be 'praiseful' and not be fruitful. We don't say 'thank you' with a cold face; every genuine 'thank you' is with a smile. Hannah got Samuel by being grateful; Abraham also got Isaac by being grateful, he refused to grumble, complain or murmur, but was strong in faith giving glory to God and that resulted in his supernatural fruitfulness (Romans 4:20-21; Psalm 67:5-7).

- Signs and Wonders:
Thanksgiving is a covenant platform for the eruption of signs and wonders. This was graphically illustrated in John 6, when Jesus gave thanks over five loaves of bread and two fishes, they multiplied supernaturally to feed 5000 men, excluding women and children. Jesus also gave thanks and Lazarus came out from the grave (John 11:41-43).

Let me conclude with these inspired thoughts on the great subject of Thanksgiving:

• To be 'thought-full' is to be 'Thankful' - Psalms 103:1-3 • Ingratitude grieves God and when God is grieved, man becomes vulnerable - Psalms 78:40-42.
• If we understand the mystery of thanksgiving, satan will find it difficult to wear us out
- Habakkuk 3:17-19.
• Every complaint only complicates our issues - Psalms 78:40-42.
• If we genuinely give thanks, we shall become sweat less mountain movers, because God will always back us up - Psalms 114:6-7.
• To take God for granted is to be grounded - Psalms 78:40-42.
• Anything we thank God for supernaturally multiplies - John6:11.
• When things are happening as expected, give thanks and to keep them happening, give thanks the more - Psalms 135:1-7
• Our enemies are helpless when we become truly thankful - Psalms 60:12.
• When we forget God's benefits, He forgets our needs - Psalms 103:1.
• To be thankful is to be 'win-ful' - Psalms 92:1/10-12.
• Thanksgiving is a covenant gateway to our high places in life - Habakkuk 3:17-19.

Supernatural Reinstatement
"I was a Muslim but I joined this Commission in 2012 through the invitation of a neighbour's sister who also led me to Christ. Before I came to this church, my marriage crumbled and I was framed up in the bank where I worked, which ultimately resulted to the termination of my appointment.

The first day I joined this Commission, the Bishop said, "Every area of your life that you have experienced shame and disgrace, God will restore it back to you." I believed the prophecy and I knew this was the right place for me.

Moreover, when you get fired in a bank for fraud issue, it is very difficult to get another bank job, but God did it. Against all odds, I got another job despite my disengagement from my former place of work for a case I knew nothing about.

However, two weeks ago, when the Human Resource Department did a background verification check in the office, the case from the previous bank came up again and I was given indefinite suspension. Thereafter, I came here on Sunday and prayed for my reinstatement before the following Sunday. To God be all the glory, I have been reinstated!"

"I joined this Commission through the invitation of a former Muslim brother. Previously, I was diagnosed of a hole in my heart but the brother assured me that I would be healed within three months.

In one of the services, the Bishop quoted Exodus 23:25, and he said, "Mark that place as your certificate because a time
will come in this church when some people will celebrate many years of not going to the hospital or lay their backs on hospital beds." But at that point, I was dying. I said to myself, 'I have to join a service unit.' So, I joined Crowd Control Unit(CCU).

As soon as I started serving, God changed my story. Today made it 14 years of not having anything to do with drugs or laying my back on any hospital bed. I went back to see the doctor who had earlier told me I had three months to live and I told him that the God of this Commission had healed me. Today, God has restored my health!"

Death Defeated!

"On Tuesday, Daniel, a friend and a member of this Commission, came to my house at 8pm and requested for food. So, I went to the kitchen to prepare it for him. Five minutes later, we didn't hear anything from him again. My husband who was in the kitchen called him thrice, but there was no response.

I knew something was wrong because it was unusual for him not to respond to my husband's call. So, we quickly rushed back to where he was and behold, he was jerking and battling with death.

I took hold of him and immediately remembered the books I read previously: The Blood Triumph, Forces of Freedom and Anointing for Breakthrough. I reminded God that He said I sit in heavenly places with Christ Jesus and I have God's authority. I ordered my angels to bring him back from the region of death and also applied the Anointing Oil and lastly, I sprinkled the blood of Jesus on him. To God be all the glory, he jerked back to life. 15-Year Impotence Healed!
"In 1998, I discovered that I had an erectile dysfunction, which later became full blown impotence. Since then, I had believed God for my healing.

I had been to so many places and hospitals for treatment, but to no avail. However, something within me kept telling me that as long as God lives, I would experience my miracle.

On November 1, last year, I sent a text message to one of the pastors who taught me at the Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI) and to the Church rescue line. Through them, I was privileged to meet with the Bishop on Sunday. The Bishop laid hands on me and prayed that I be delivered from the assault. I was filled with Joy and gave thanks to God.

Miracle Job on Saturday!

"I joined this Commission in 2013. Previously, I experienced depression and tension because my life was in shambles. Also, my mother had diabetes, hypertension and rheumatism.
However, my life started taking shape as I obeyed every prophetic instruction from the altar. Firstly, I engaged in soul winning, during which one of the women I preached to looked down on me and said, "Is God also doing something in your life?" I was not discouraged; rather, I told God to prove to her that He rewards His own.

Truly, God showed up. The God of this Commission healed my mother from diabetes, hypertension and rheumatism, to the amazement of her doctors.

Also, during the Liberation Night, the Bishop said some people would get miracle jobs on Saturday. I keyed into it and danced aggressively. Shortly after I got home, the managing director of a company called me and took me to the CEO'S house, where I was offered a job. I return all the glory to God!"

Miracle Baby after Two Years of Waiting!

"After our marriage in 2009, we started believing God for the fruit of the womb, but nothing happened. So, we sought out medical specialists and ran some tests in other to find a solution, still nothing positive came forth.

At a point, I was told that my wife had tube blockage. We rejected it and kept on believing God. We held unto every Word from this altar, bought baby items and kept anointing them, but it just looked as though nothing was happening.

During the 30th anniversary last year, the Bishop said we should make it a date with God. He also added that we should celebrate God for everything and that God is faithful. We did just that, despite the heavy rain that day. While we were celebrating God, the Lord turned our sorrows into joy and celebration.

Supernatural Restoration!

"I lost my job in one of the multinational companies in 2010. I was devastated because I couldn't see the possibility of getting another opportunity. However, God restored me fully this year.
God gave me two jobs last month, one in Nigeria and the other in Dubai. I became confused as to the one to pick.

I travelled to Dubai last month for the interview, during which I was asked a question: "Do you think Nigeria is good enough to in invest now since there are security issues?" I gave them a five minutes presentation as to why Nigeria is secured for investments. After the discussion, I negotiated my salary with them and I was told to return to Nigeria.

Thereafter, since there was no response from the company in Dubai, I decided to join the Nigerian organization. However, before the induction, I received a call from Dubai saying I had been considered for the job. While I was still thanking God, the president of the organization called me and said, "Please, don't accept any job offer in Nigeria, we want you back."

Supernatural Job Restoration!

"I was a pastor in a church in Port Harcourt. When I came to Lagos in 2011, God asked me to join this Commission. Four months later, I got a job.

Six months after, my contract was terminated. Thereafter, I engaged in evangelism and last month, I saw the Bishop in a revelation and he gave me a gift. Thereafter, I got a call from the company that terminated my contract, requesting that I resume back to work. Praise the Lord!"---Solomon Dugbe
